LOSTPROPHETS WEDNESDAY: TOUR STUFF
Lostprophets Wednesday. Fuck, who am I kidding – every day is Lostprophets day round here. I bring to you some awesome stuff from the recent touring.
Who: Lostprophets
Where: 02 Academy, Brixton
When: Thursday 11th February 2010
Support: Hexes & Kids In Glass Houses
Lostprophets brought their mighty ‘Betrayed’ tour to London last thursday. We were lucky enough to be there and my-oh-my what a fucking night.
The day started unusually early for Ms Shikari and myself. By 5pm we had finished a couple of cans of Strongbow and cracked open a bottle of whiskey,(as is our gig ritual) each took half in a bottle and jumped on the train to Brixton.
By the time we got to the academy, it’s fair to say we were completely plastered. Like, wasted. Headed straight in (guestlist naturally,) and to the bar. After I’d demanded the cute check in guy put my wristband on for me – much to his amusement – we headed to the bar. Umm a few times….
Support on the night came from ‘Hexes’ and ‘Kids In Glass Houses’.
Now this is where I fess up and admit..I actually can’t remember much at all. I’m assured from reviews that Hexes were great. Having seen KIGH before I know they are always quality. ALED, SHAY, BOYS YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU!
Here is the new single
An interval, then Lostprophets came out. Now this, I remember every second of.
Now that ground rules have been set here are what i recommend for a good gig.
It’s best to keep thing simple with a kick ass pair of jeans, skinny or coloured, dark or light it’s all good.
– MOTO indigo skinny jeans with panelled and zip detail.
– MOTO Grey rose printed skinny jeans with 5 pocket detail.
– MOTO crushed grey skinny leg Baxter jeans.
– MOTO Ice blue ultimate skinny Jamie jeans
– MOTO bleach skinny jeans with extreme rip detail down the front legs.
– MOTO Floral printed skinny jeans with 5 pocket detail.

Coloured jeans from EBTM
A band t shirt to a gig is a standard by now so you can’t go wrong with showing your support.
– Raw edge tee with ‘Everybody hurts’ motif and all over spot in a burnout fabric.
Tops from topshop
Here is where anything goes. On your wrists you can wear anything…. cuffs, shag bands, watches it’s all good baby!
Shove on a a pair of fingerless gloves to keep the chilly air at bay. Plus they look pretty fucking cool too.
Now don’t laugh or think i have gone mental a good hat is a staple of any ‘goths’ wardrobe. Be it a wolly hat, beanie hat or the good old trilby, all of them set your outift of perfectly.
And let me tell you once you’ve seen someone thow a fucking top hat on stage and have the band wear it, you realise anything goes where headwear is concerned.
Another staple of the gig look is a scarf, any colour any pattern it doesn’t matter so go bold and let it clash for a real wow effect.

The Betrayed promo shot
L-R: Jamie, Mike, Ian, Lee, Stu
Song: Burn Burn
Album: Start Something
Where do I begin, with this life we’re living in
Market youth their uniform, make us all fit in
But do you think, that we’re that blind?
That we can’t see through all your lies
[chorus:]
Cause it’s no good
Burn burn the stations
We’ll burn it down
Burn burn the truth
Enjoy the flames
In celebration
Enjoy the sound
For us, for them, for you
I know that I’ve been told
My intergrity was sold
Priced and placed upon the shelf
It’s worth it’s weight in gold
But do you think we’ve lost our minds?
Yeah we can see through all your lies
[chorus]
Burn burn the truth the lies the news
Burn burn the life that you cant choose
Burn burn the hate that gets you through
Burn burn for us, for them, for you [x8]
Cause it’s no good
Burn burn the stations
We’ll burn it down
Burn burn the truth
Enjoy the flames
In celebration
Enjoy the sound
For us, for them, for you [x5]
